Reporter Alice Fosters article dated 6th February is headlined “Rats invade homes in flood-hit Leatherhead and Ashtead” Alice called us regarding reports that local homes were being affected by rat problems. We confirmed a rise in calls to a number of houses in the Mole Valley area. Residents are advised that if they hear scurrying or scuttling sounds or see signs of chewing or rat droppings they should take immediate action, preferably by calling a professional pest controller.

Do not delay the problem will not go away on it’s own. Rats can cause significant damage, one unlucky homeowner suffered several floods through his ceiling as a result of rats chewing through plastic water pipes in the attic.
